Abstract

Denna studie diskuterar hur representanter för ed tech-industrin och beslutsfattare inom det utbildningspolitiska fältet i Sverige och Estland föreställer sig framtidens klassrum och digitala teknologiers roll i dessa visioner. Med utgångspunkt i material från en rad framtidsworkshopar där totalt nio grupper samlats för att diskutera skolutveckling analyseras vilka sociotekniska föreställningar om utbildningar som förekommer i respektive land och de logiker som ligger bakom datafieringen av utbildningssektorn. Resultaten visar att deltagare i båda länderna framhåller datafiering som ett medel för att åstadkomma en mer individanpassad skola, men identifierar också motsättningar mellan denna vision och den andra gemensamma strävanden mot en skola med varierade lärmiljöer och undervisningsformer. Vidare belyser de nationella skillnader som reflekterar ländernas utbildningspolitiska traditioner, där Estland använder digitalisering för att stärka sin nationella identitet som en modern och innovativ tech-nation medan man i Sverige snarare börjat ifrågasätta digitaliseringens effekter på elevers välmående och lärande. Dessa resultat bidrar till den kritiska forskningen om skolans datafiering med en fördjupad förståelse för relationen mellan nationellt och globalt förankrade framtidsföreställningar.
