Sociologisk Forskning publishes scientific articles within the field of sociology and has a special focus on Swedish and Nordic society. The journal adheres to a double-blind peer review process and is published with immediate open access. Sociologisk Forskning was founded in 1964 and is today indexed in, amongst others, Web of Science and Scopus.
Sociologisk Forskning is published by the Swedish Sociological Association with support from the Swedish Research Council.
